During the early stages of this pandemic much of the world interactions moved online. It’s great we had this option (20 years ago how would we have coped?) but it’s been less than perfect. One of the big problems has been that the real-world communities were replaced by single-interest ones. In this world we need to know about the group and go to a pre-arranged Zoom call. It misses the local interactions and the chance meetings they allow.
I’ve been thinking about this and would like to ask you to take a couple of minutes while I try (badly) to explain it and what may be a solution…
I know this is vague but the truth is some ideas will work and some won’t. But we won’t know which ones unless we chat about them and try.
Now I have never arranged an event until a month ago. But I used this platform to arrange BeoirFest.com - an online beer and comedy festival. It went pretty well and I learned what can work and what doesn’t.
I’d love to have a chat to see what you think. Maybe it would be something you’d like to try in your community but even if not your feedback would be fantastic.
